Job Description
Summary:
SIRIMIRI is hiring an experienced Floor Supervisor for our new manufacturing plant in Tenkasi. This role is critical in managing day-to-day shop floor operations, ensuring smooth production flow, packing and shipping activities, strict quality compliance, and adherence to food safety standards.
The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in food manufacturing operations with deep knowledge of quality systems.
Responsibilities
- Production Floor Management Supervise daily production activities and workforce on the shop floor
- Ensure production targets are met without compromising quality
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams
- Monitor machine operations, manpower allocation, and shift planning
Quality & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP, and hygiene standards
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and take corrective actions
- Ensure proper handling of raw materials, processing, and packaging
- Maintain batch records, quality logs, and compliance documentation
Process & Efficiency Control
- Identify process gaps, wastage, and productivity improvements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor
- Reduce rejections, rework, and downtime
Team Supervision & Training
- Train operators and helpers on SOPs, hygiene, and safety protocols
- Enforce discipline, safety, and cleanliness across shifts
- Ensure use of PPE and compliance with workplace safety standards
Requirements
- Knowledge in Tamil Language is preferred
- Strong understanding of food production processes
- Good leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle large production teams
Experience:
- 4 to 8 years of experience in food products manufacturing organizations
- Experience managing large-scale production facilities preferred
- Strong exposure to quality management systems and audits
