Job Description
SIRIMIRI is looking for a dynamic and experienced Area Sales Manager to lead and expand our distribution and retail presence across TN, KA, TS, and AP. This role requires strong sales experience, team handling skills, and the ability to drive business growth in assigned territories.
Responsibilities
- Appoint and manage distributors, wholesalers, and modern trade partners
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through field sales.
- Achieve monthly & quarterly sales targets across assigned respective areas.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends
- Conduct market visits, ensure merchandising & product visibility
- Manage and train field sales executives / promoters
- Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
- Ensure effective execution of trade promotions and schemes
- Collaborate with the team to achieve better results.
- Analyze sales reports and present performance insights to management
Requirements
- 6–8 years of FMCG sales experience or Equivalent experience (Food category preferred)
- Strong knowledge of TN / KA / TS/ AP retail & distributor network of assigned areas
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
- Fast learning speed and a passion for sales
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Ability to lead and motivate a sales team
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Proven track record of target achievement
Experience:
- 6 to 10 years of experience in food products manufacturing organizations
- Experience managing quality in large-scale production facilities
- Proven expertise implementing food safety standards (HACCP / FSSC 22000)
